Enlightenment

Since his early years, as a teenager, Mr. Kumar used to wonder about the deeper meaning and purpose of life. Questions such as, “Who am I” and “What is the true nature of life” used to arise and made him wonder about the “Creation and the Creator”.

This quest of Mr. Kumar to get answers to all his unanswered questions continued within himself from his early teens to the age of Forty-two (42) when finally, he came across an enlightened soul. He attended a spiritual lecture by his soon to be Spiritual Master which further ignited a series of questions within him, questions like “Will success at work give me joy?”, “Who is a True Spiritual Master?”.

To seek answers to all his unanswered questions, he embarked on a four-day spiritual trip to Mussoorie, along with The Spiritual Master whose spiritual lecture he had attended. On November 10, 2007 as he left for airport from his home in Mumbai, his focus gradually shifted from the otherworld to his inner self. By the time he boarded the flight he had already surrendered himself to his Spiritual Master (Guru) with a firm resolution that he would cease to breath and let go off his body if he deterred from his Master’s (Guru’s) command. With this state of mind, he got completely absorbed within himself as if the world around him didn’t even exist.

Arriving in Mussoorie in the early hours of November 13th, 2007, Mr. Kumar, deeply engrossed in introspection, sought from his Master (Guru) the vow of silence. As days passed, he delved ever deeper into his innermost thoughts. Throughout the journey, he required scant sleep, his focus unwavering amidst the bustling surroundings. Surrendering to his Master’s (Guru’s) guidance from the outset, Mr. Kumar, unaware of the fact that it was forbidden to touch Master’s (Guru’s) feet, had been reverently touching his Master’s (Guru’s) feet since his arrival in Mussoorie. On the fourth day, at 4:00 am, amidst the town’s hubbub, he found himself walking through the main market, still immersed in contemplation, pondering the verses of a bhajan (devotional song). Amidst the crowd, he suddenly felt guarded by three black dogs, as if under divine protection. The bhajan’s lyrics became his guiding light, leading him deeper within until he reached a state of profound inner peace, connecting him with his Guru and Param Guru.

Following this transformative experience, Mr. Kumar extended his stay with his Master (Guru) by an additional five days, journeying to Haridwar. On the ninth day, after bathing in the sacred Ganges, he proceeded to the Ganga Maa temple. Emerging from his meditative state, he underwent an intense physical sensation, feeling as if engulfed by flames akin to a funeral pyre, all in the presence of his Master (Guru) and the entire sangh of 45 people.

In his own words, this moment marked the dissolution of “Rajesh Kumar” as an individual.
